Batavia: Giving Voice to the Voiceless is a publication documenting the exhibition of the same title at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery (2017) and the Geraldton Regional Art Gallery (2018).


The book features essays by artists, curators and researchers of the 1629 Batavia shipwreck from the University of Western Australia, the Western Australian Museum and Edith Cowan University that examine the infamous maritime disaster and subsequent mutiny from archaeological, historical and artistic perspectives.

It also includes the list of works and high resolution images of artworks exhibited.
